"Connection" is about connecting with other forms of life by understanding them on a cellular level. The piece is also about relating to these life forms by understanding the similarities and differences between them and us, represented by the hand.
"Admiration" represents the newfound interest in plant life. It is about discovering plants and becoming engrossed in learning about them.
"Echo" is about trying to visualize the topics that you are studying.
"Cradle" is again about the appreciation of plant life as represented by a girl cradling a sori, which contains the spores of a fern.
"Polychromatic" was taken to appreciate a flower's vibrant coloration, related to its need to work with animals to reproduce. The background is of a brightly-colored anther, pollen-containing portion of a plant.
"Kiss" sends the story off with a newfound appreciation of plants.
